Barnes Publishing was established in 1992 and traded as Apache Publishing. It was first instrumental in producing The Pocket Guide to Jersey now in its eighteenth year of publication as an A5 glossy re-named The Visitor Guide to Jersey.
In December 1998, Apache Publishing became Barnes Publishing Ltd. (BPL) under the ownership of Ian Barnes, with fellow director Bernadette Barnes (Company Secretary),and is now pursuing a major role in Event Management.
BPL are also actively involved in Printing, Distribution, Sales & Marketing, Corporate Identity and Graphic Design, and in addition to publishing The Visitor Guide to Jersey, produce a Jersey Map and The Guide to Jersey Weddings.
Ian Barnes is also a Consultant for the yet to be launched Victory House partnership, a body set up to facilitate the establishment of new business into Jersey, a committee member of the newly created " Creative Jersey " body with responsibility for Event Management and also on the management committee of The Jersey Hospitality Association.
