Barnes Publishing was established in 1992 and traded as Apache Publishing. It was first instrumental in producing The Pocket Guide to Jersey for 18 years and also the publishing of What's On and the BPL Map.

In December 1998, Apache Publishing became Barnes Publishing Ltd. (BPL) under the ownership of Ian Barnes.

BPL are also actively involved in Project Management, Printing, Distribution, Sales & Marketing, Corporate Identity and Graphic Design.
